I'M SWITCHING IT UP A BIT.
Summertime gets me into a colourful mood, but my wardrobe does not reflect that much. I've been contemplating some yellows and blues, but overall I can't resist the ease of black and white: everything goes with anything, and smooth sailing like that is exactly what I go for. When the colours are set, playing with different structures, fits, and textures is how I keep from the straightforward, lacklustre black and white looks. These high-waisted pants (which, of course, I also have in black) are different for me because I tend toward darker bottoms; the switch-up is a fitting and welcome change to go with the turning weather.
This is actually my first real summer in Toronto, and being here for reasons outside of school has been incredibly refreshing. Being able to walk outside without a jacket, to have a breeze blow away the heat now and then, and to see so many people milling about enjoying the good weather does not fail to brighten my mind and my outlook.

I hope you're finding ways to switch it up, friends; summer can bring so much freedom.
